About GPG

Ruth Gómez Portugal González.

I am a young, dynamic architect based in Mexico, with a passion for blending innovative design with cultural heritage. I hold a degree from one of the top architecture schools in the country, ITESO. Known for her creative approach to sustainable architecture, I frequently travel both within Mexico and abroad, drawing inspiration from different architectural styles and urban landscapes.

My travels take me to bustling cities and quiet, rural towns, where I immerses myself in the unique design philosophies of each place. From the colonial buildings of Oaxaca to the cutting-edge modernism in cities like Tokyo and Barcelona, I believe that great architecture is a balance between respecting local traditions and pushing the boundaries of innovation.

I am deeply committed to sustainability and I believe that architects have a responsibility to create environments that positively impact both the people who use them and the planet. With in my projects I try to incorporate eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient designs, and solutions that promote green living and a better quality of life.

As a professional, I collaborate with both experts and fellow young architects. My passion for the craft is reflected not only in my projects, but also in my involvement in design workshops and mentorship programs aimed at empowering young women in architecture.

Whether I am working on a high-rise building or a small project , I approach every project with the same level of care, dedication, and professional excellence. I believe travels enrich our work & vision, learning new methods and designs from different parts of the world.
